The XIVO® plate is a universal reconstruction plate for pelvic, acetabular and non weight bearing long bone fractures. It can be modeled to the outlines of the bone in all 3 dimensions, with the same strength and resistance. With the improved design, bending occurs between the holes. Low bone contact of the surface avoids defects at the periost and weakening of the bone. Length and shape is adapted intraoperatively. The high elasticity the titanium alloy offers an optimum load distribution.
The screws can be angled up to 30°, without that the screw heads exceed the plate. These plates are fixed with 3.5mm cortical and with 4.0mm cancellous screws.
